We have a Portmaster 2e (S/N 1A13142) with one 10-port asynchronous
module (00-c0-05-01-08-4d) on ports S0-S9. We are using ComOS 3.2.2.
We tried to expand the portmaster with two 10-port asynchronous
modules MOD-2E-10A 10 Serial Port Exp Module (Ports S10-S19 and
S20-S29).

We followed the installation procedure for expansion cards as
described in "Communications Server Hardware Installation Guide" pag.
3-16. But when booting in diagnostic mode the sequence stops:

Livingston Enterprises, Inc. Boot Prom Rev F

Testing Low Memory ....
Testing System Clock ....
Testing System Memory ....
Checking Boot Rom ....
Loading Image at 0fff0000
17074 flash copy complete
Verifying load module checksum ....
Starting load module ....
Loading kernel .... 591004 bytes ....
Testing high memory .... 1024 bytes
Async found in slot 1

Without the cards the sequence continues with:

Found 11 ports ....
ether0 active .... 16K shared-RAM
Running ComOs ....

Portmaster Console Login:

The diagnostic system LED starts normal and then turns to solid ON.

Can there be a problem with an old mainboard and new expansion
boards? Any suggestions??
