We have been running USR Sportsters with our Portmaster 2E and have not had
any dropouts after we made one tiny little change - the modems are mounted
vertical ( speaker control knob up ) with 1/2-inch clearance between each
modem, we have a fan blowing cool air over all the modems ( they DON'T like
HEAT!!! ), and the init string: AT&F1 with the following switch settings:
sw-3 & sw-8 > ON, all others OFF. The Portmaster has software version
3.3.2c1 and has not had any reboots or resets for the last 49 days.

Seems to work for us ( works with Win-95, Win-NT, Mac, Trumpet, ect, ect )
<Grin>

Hope this helps all...

BTW: all of the modems software revs are 4/96.
