Ports forgetting modem type at reboot

I finally got around to using the modem table etc on our PM2e-10 w/
ComOS 3.3.1, works fine per se but it seems the port configs lose the
modem type info at reboot (see below). Is this a known problem and/or
fixed in a later release (haven't seen it mentioned on the list and
can't find anything about in the release notes for 3.3.2, 3.3.3) - or am
I missing something? I don't think I should be short on NVRAM as all the
(few) users are in RADIUS (though most of them have a couple of
locations, for dialback - total 35), no routing/netmask tables, one
single filter, etc...
