I appreciate your reply, can I ask you a few stupid questions?
When you talk about the netmask, are you talking about the one in the
portmaster or the one in the radius table? We have several Class C's and
we are going to use one for just this sort of thing,(subnetting
it with 255.255.255.252) instead of the reserved ones.
One more quick question when they talk about VLSM, they are are
referring about individual networks I think. For instance 208.100.88.0
can be used as a full 255.255.255.0 and 208.100.89.0 could be subnetted
with a netmask of 255.255.255.224 and 208.100.90.0 could be subnetted
with a netmask of 255.255.255.240, etc ... Correct?
Appreciate your time and I really am trying to get a handle on
this, I try my best to read all the mailing list archives before I ask
questions. The mailing list is a pretty good source of ISPs that have
been there and done that.
