It's not only Netscape that is the culprit... it appears that *any* mail
program that aborts without cleaning up after itself... (ie lost connection,
<insert_your_own_network_error_here> does the same thing. I have a cron job
running once every hour to alleviate this problem.

haven't tried this out but the *real* solution is...

Tell users to use the correct protocol. Mail was never designed for *huge*
files like some people are using it for today. I tell our people to learn
FTP because if they keep getting these huge mails and can't download them...
we will implement limits on mailbox size. This seems to have restored some
sanity to proceedings at this site, anyway...
