Radius 1.16 login

Our radius application appears to have a problem recognizing any user name
that begins with the character "a". Instead of setting up the connection as
Framed-User it get set to Rlogin. I've tried it on four different user
names and the same result. I checked the radius "user" file and these users
account are built the same as the others.
We use "Password = UNIX" in the radius "user" file. I can login on the
console or telnet into the system with no problem. But, a dail-in always get
connected as "Rlogin". As far as I can tell, the radius files have never
been modified.
Has anyone experience this problem??????
