We have hundreds of people using Trumpet, and have not experienced this.
Is it hanging the port or the modem? If you can power-cycle the modem
and the port clears, it's hanging the modem. Do you have modem control
turned on on the Portmaster, carrier detect = follows carrier in the
modem init (usually &C1 in the init string), and pin 8 connected from the
modem to the PM? You'll need all of the above.
In what state does the port hang?
