Win95 PPP just stops

I've been noticing a problem with our customers PPP connections. At first
I thought it was local to my machine which runs Win95 PPP Dial-Up
Networking from home. I will be in the middle of a PPP session and
suddenly nothing will go through. Everything stalls. I cannot ping
anywhere including the PM. The lights on my modem however seem to flash a
bit when I try these pings into nowhere. Today a customer using Trumpet
Winsock under 95 had the same problem. His FTP stalled after about 20
minutes without fail. The modem connection is fine and all. I'm not sure
how to diagnose this.. Which logs should I check or debug should I look
at? The problem is it always happens at home when I'm using my only modem
so it's hard to 'check the server end'
