domain name resolution

Does anybody here have a clue why does my portmaster think that
teledesic.com (or any other "outside" address) is a machine on my
network? It seems to me from these logs that my nameserver has to first
"tell" the PM that teledesic.com is not a local host and then Portmaster
reformulates the question correctly and eventually gets the answer? Is
this normal "behavior" of Portmasters?
