The Linux version was done on 1.2.13 ELF - which is probably the most widely
used and distributed Linux release in the world today. All the major
Linux distributions are based on 1.2.13 ELF.
There are 1.3.x kernels, but as any Linux hacker knows, 1.odd.x are the
experimental kernels, and 1.even.x are the 'stable' ones. Running any
odd numbered builds on a production machine is crazy.
1.2.13 is what everyone wanted. And it is better than 1.2.3 QMAGIC, which
is what we built things on last time.
Where did you get 1.2.8 anyway?
