Not really. Most of the distributions that keep up now come with 2.0.x
kernels and ELF libs...and some optionally support the older a.out libs as
well. Older systems (as might be found in ISP's not created yesterday)
may not be fully or at all ELF compatible. The other problem is shadow or
not to shadow. Most ISP's use shadow passwords...but few if any
distributions come with shadow...so this is a do it yourself job and 3
different sites might use 3 slightly different shadow versions.
