Initialization string for Sportster 33.6Fax/Modems

Hi!!

I'm having trouble when I want to establish a connection from a 28.8Kbps to
one
of my sportsters on my PM2ER.
If I connect using a 14.4Kbps modem or less, everything works fine.

The problem is that when the two 28.8Kbps or 33.6Kbps modems are
handshaking,
it takes to long and they renegotiate. Sometimes they do it fast, sometimes
they
won't be able to connect, and sometimes they try for a long time and then
connects.

I have been trying these initialization strings, plus several modifications
on them:

AT&F1X4F0&H1
AT&F1X4&H1&W\r^OK
AT&F1 (THE CLASSIC)

I know that the quality of the phone lines is great and we are connecting
using the
same TELCO PBX.

The other strange thing, is that we are using the same models (Sportster
33.6Kbps Fax/modem) for originating and answering calls.

If you have any suggestions for the initialization string, please reply to
the mailing
list and also to andres@truevision.net

Thanks in advance,
Andres Maduro
