When I was investingating modems a year ago, I asked USR, Hayes and Boca
tech support deps. They said that the modems will NOT train back up. I
didnt understand why they woundnt. But that is what I was told.
I seem to remember that there was a bios revision on Sportster where it
would train down more and more until the speed was 2400 baud.
