Check your reverse DNS, make sure the people upstream of you are
routing it down to your nameserver and your nameserver is properly
configured.

You might also check to make sure you're using a relatively recent
version of libc.so, ld.so, and login. Older libraries (and static
binaries) with newer kernels can cause problems.
