AFAIK it does not degrade. I will double check with engineering (of course,
if anyone has the stats, jump in).

RSN - I believe it is a matter of a few final tweaks and then building the
new ComOS. All the ComOS variants are built from the same code tree.
In fact, OSPF was developed on PM-2s, PM-25s, and ORs first since we had
those and didn't have a stack of PM-3s to run as an OSPF test net. They
worked as lab mules.
