Well, sometimes I use Chapter 19 of our Config Guide for the troublesome
ones. ;-)

John Storms is working on an advanced script that handles everything a PM
can do with PPP (MP, MCPPP, etc) and I plan to put it on the web so people
can paste in debug output and get the english translation.

But it's a "this'll be cool" side project for both of us, something we're
doing on the side.
