There's more in this world than PPP. We for instance have a large unix
and uucp based customer base too. You'd be amazed to see how many 2400
connects we get. And unless your modem is 1200, it wont have to go through
2400 :)

How do you know? Do you have inside information on Livingston customer
interaction? Not everything is handled on this list, I wouldnt even be
amazed if this list is small compared to other forms of communication
with Livingston.

A customer is a customer, no matter if he connects on 28.8 or 2400.

How naieve. Do you honestly think they have 3 engineers there, and
once every week they get together to discuss which code they'll work
on that week? I've never been at Livingston, but id be very amazed if
the OSPF engineers arent completely seperate from the telco engineers.

Well, its very simple. IRX didnt have OSPF, we didnt buy IRX but cisco.
It's really Livingston's loss. We have over 50 cisco 2500 series now
just for infrastructure. As soon as IRX or other livingston products have
OSPF, they'll be looked at again. No sense in dwelling on it. And im sure
Livingston realises that, you really dont have to tell them that for the
zillionth time.

A lot of 'big customers' were once not so big, and were probably the ones
that made livingston :)

Or else they'll loose an 8 portmaster customer? Threatening your
supplier is not the way to do business. If you're unhappy, buy something
else. We were unhappy with the IRX, and bought Cisco. We're happy with
the PM2, and kept buying them.
