There are several options. If they have Windows 3.x, MSIE with dial-up
adaptor for Win 3.x will work. Slow but works in 4meg. Eudora for mail
would be good choice. WS_FTP for files. EWAN for Telnet if needed.

There are also several DOS based alternatives including LYNX and a DOS
"socket" program that provides PPP. I have kicking around somewhere if
you can't find elsewhere and DOS turns out to be what you want. Try
Tucows also.
