What do you mean by bfd? I was just trying to indicate what I thought the
difference was. You get really defensive even when there is no need, MZ.

What does that mean?

Ascend has lowered their prices accross the board. The stret price on a
4004 is under $10k now. Street price for 2 PM 3's would be arond $6500
each or $13k.

There are pro's and cons to that. Yes I agree that it is better to do 2
t1's into 2 chassis, but what if you have 8 t1's ? Or you could just buy a
4002 for around $7k (a little more than the PM 3). BTW, the Max 4004 has
redundant power supplies.

Which is 24 more than the PM 3's current maximum config.

Oooh neato!

Hey can I get PMconsole for the Max 4004? ;-)

Currently the PM 3 can only do 48 according to your sales staff.

The 4002 can be upgraded in the field to a

Their new 16 modem cards will solve that when and if they ever come out
with them.

As for the rest of your comments, I really think they are biased, which is
understandable since you work for them. I dont work for Ascend OR
Livingston and I use BOTH products. So far, I like the MAX, mostly cuz I
dont have a PM 3 yet and the MAx does what I need it to do.
