Yesterday, we were experiencing problems with our ORU and continous
connection to a PMeR. Apparently, the TCP/IP header compression was
causing 40 plus percent packet loss between our two networks.
We run a remote network connected to the main office via a BRI. On one
end we have a ORU and on the other we have a PMeR with a 5 port ISDN
card. Both B-channels are up and the network type is IP over PPP.
The documentation suggest that we can use compression with PPP over a ISDN
multilink connection. In our case enabling compression was respondsible for
over 40 percent packet loss. Disabling compression restored it to zero
percent packet loss.
Any ideas? Where can I find the bug reports for ComOS?
