Well that explains it! The box upon which we run radius does nothing
but act as an NS and provide authentication for the PMs. We have it
set as the log host so we can basically watch comings and goings by
glancing at that particular console monitor.

Now I feel a bit better about things. We end up seeing three messages,
beginning the the PPP destination negotiated, then the actual user auth,
then the address that was assigned. The confusion isn't so confusing
now <g>!
