Re: How to add ISDN?

There is a Livingston ISDN module available (part # MOD-10I-U) for the
PortMaster 2E chassis that plugs in to either of the expansion slots in the
PM-2E. It has 5 BRI-U interfaces (integrated NT-1's). If your PM-2E is
already fully loaded, you will have to either purchase another PM-2E, or
remove one of the async boards from your current unit.

There are only a few new commands to learn when adding ISDN to the unit. The
5-BRI module supports the same PortMaster ComOS functionality (routing,
locations, users, filters) and RADIUS authentication as a unit only using
async ports.

If you do not want to take async ports out of service and want to add ISDN,
take a look at the new PM-2E with 5-BRI ports in the base slot. This would
allow you to start with 5-BRI and then add additional 5-BRI expansion
modules or 10-port async modules as needed. Fully loaded with ISDN, this
unit can support 30 concurrent 64K dial-up ISDN connections.
