erase config -- clears conf area in flash
erase comos -- clears comos in flash

Try the above. Note that parts of the ComOS, especially the mdp
stuff, are stored in different partitions of the flash. Yes, the
flash is organized like a hard disk. Not that bad idea ;-)
Normally, a comos upgrade erases some partitions before the upgrade
(part 6 & 7, I think). If the erase is ommited, strange things may
happen.
