Once upon a time Andy Thaggard shaped the electrons to say...
>PM2E-20. USR External 28.8 (in third party rack), can go to X2 with Flash
>update...

Not good. You will not be able to operate as a central site with 56K this
way. 56K *REQUIRES* digital subscriber lines into the central site.

USR externals upgraded to 56K are only good for the client end.

> 1) go PM2E-30 and USR's in rack to X2

Won't work. The only externals that can do central site for X2 is an
I-Modem with ISDN lines.

> 2) go PM2E-30 with USR Total Control Modem Racks

That can work.

> 3) chuck PM all together and go USR dial-in server

And deal with less features and high costs.

>Our aim: be able to handle X2.

Have you rejected Lucent/Rockwells 56K that the PM-3 will support? They
have more support than USR does. WAY more.
