Once upon a time Ger Thrond shaped the electrons to say...
>How can we limit the allocated IP addresses to a range of 8? Currently
>it allocates from a range of 20 (probably because there are 20 ports).

The PortMaster, at boot, counts the number of ports with a network
mode - they may need IPs. So, take the 12 ports with no modems and set
them to be login only. Then reboot and the pool should be only 8 IPs.
