Re: Memory required on a PM2ER

I would ask a question.... Has anyone tested a PM with 30 ports and 1M VS a
PM with 30 ports and 4M. We recently put in a second PM at one of our POP's
and the first PM with 1M seems to be slower than the second with 4M. Now,
the 1st is running V3.3.1 and the new one is V3.3.2, so that could be
another factor but, the question remains, does more ram allow the PM to have
more 'elbow' room for buffers and such and therefore better throughput?

The solution to any problem lies in its proper definition.
