Hi Ed,
I suspect opinions will vary, but I'll offer you my two cents.
The good news is that just about everything works dialing
into a PM/5BRI. My experience it all under Win95 DUN.
For internal, my favorite would be the Diamond NetCommander:
POTS jack has ringer built-in with custom ringing patterns,
supports MS ISDN 1.1, does utilization sensitive add/drop of
the 2nd B channel.
For external, I'd try to go with a Zyxel Omni or Elite 2864i (if you
want integrated V.34): >128K bps on the serial port (Elite even
lets you drive it with a parallel port, fast connects (5 sec total),
utilization sensitive add/drop of 2nd B.
