Old mail

I have been having a problem lately that has been driving me nuts. For
some odd reason at random times, some of my users cant delete their old
messages. It seems to happen using Netscape everytime(maybe just because
90% use netscape) and most of the time after receiving a large file. I
think what is happening is the user receives a large file, gets
impatient and teries to abort it and screws something up and retries
multiple times. Then their email doesnt get deleted and I have to
manually delete it.

Also, everytime I have a user do this it creates a large file in the tmp
directory. The users then gets impatient and abort and creats another
file in the tmp. The users does this multiple time and fills up the tmp
directory. Why isnt it cleaning up.

I am using Sendmail and Linux 2.0.26
