- Some 14.4k modems fail modem handshaking all the time (confirmed by
Livingston). At least one rev of a USR Sportster 14.4k has this problem.
Workaround: buy a new modem.
- Some kinds of call activity can get modems stuck in a "BOUND"
indefinitely. Eventually the modem pool has no free modems (confirmed by
Livingston). Probably related to the type of calling modem.
Workaround: set mXX off... set mXX on... for each stuck modem.
- CSLIP connections with an MTU of 1500 will be established, but the
first large packet causes it to silently die. Such connections work fine
on the PM2 (not yet confirmed by Livingston, because they are waiting for
test gear).
Workaround: use a smaller MTU size if possible.
COMOS is 3.5.c2.
