The same caveat also applies to USR Total Control racks with the
Netserver card. My radius 2.0 stopped responding every time the Netserver
was restarted because the Netserver was sending a packet that Radius 2.0
couldn't handle.
I had to apply a patch to the Radius source code so it could handle
unknown packet types, and not stop responding.
