The online help is indeed very out of date - but that's mostly because
work on it was stopped as we're rearchitecting it to make it easier to
update. And Tech Docs will be generating the help screens along with the
manuals. So it is just a bit worse now before it gets a lot better.
BTW, people have voiced some opinions about the manuals from time to time.
We've been thinking of setting up a group of users who are willing to
review new revs of the manuals while they are in beta - is there interest
in this?
