A derivation from the expression "teats up" which dates back to the 1800's
and was generally used to indicate the death of livestock. (i.e. I went to
plow the north 40, and found Bessie had gone teats up.") It is obviously a
reference to the unnatural position of a dead animal. It's pretty much the
same as the expression "belly up" (as in "a bunch of fish went belly up when
that company dumped wastewater into the lake."). Died.

Hmm. I didn't notice anything dirty. All mammals have "teats" or "tits"
and this is a common saying. But I guess it has a lot to do with one's
frame of reference and the thoughts that one has in their mind as a response
to seeing a word or phrase.

Oh well. Censor thyselves, portmaster-users...
