The Digital Link Prelude is not that pricey, $675 from Solunet. I'm
trying out the Adtran TSU LT which I've found for $626
I've been doing OR-HS's and either DigiLink Prelude or Adtran TSU LT's for
customer T1's and have had great sucsess. The OR is a great throw away
router at $699 when/if they need more steam on their end.
Granted these are not downstream ISP customers, in that case I do
recommend some form of Cisco product just for the secondary ether address
options if nothing else.
