I think this is a key point. The value of a good terminal server is so
under rated. Everybody talks about BPS and modem connects. If the
terminal server sucks it doesn't matter what modem speed you connect at.
We have set our entire operational plan on the use of Livingston terminal
servers. Lucent modems will work fine. My only hope now is that
Livingston doesn't back down to the USR pressure and renew the ComOS
license to USR for another year. Let USR write their own terminal server
software and see just how hard it really is.

Livingston has the best terminal server on the market period. The lucent
modems will work every bit as well as the USR x2, once the standard is out
its a moot point anyway, then you will be left with the quality of the
term server (all modems being equal). Livingston will shine at that time.
