On the two T-1's at this office, one IRX has 40 CRC errors and 44 frame
errors in about 48 hours time (just upgraded to 3.5.1Rb17). Another IRX has
1 CRC error and no frame errors. Telneting into our Sacarmento and Old
Sacramento routers with frac T-1 traffic shows one with no errors at 12 days
uptime, and the other with 11 aborts, 14 CRC errors and 0/1 frame errors in
38 days uptime.

The high error counts on the one IRX bother me a bit, but not enough to go
redoing our inside wire or complaining to Pac Bell. I can definitely say
that our error counts were MUCH higher on the 'problem span' before
3.5.1Rb11 and now 3.5.1Rb17 (which seems even better, but I have no clue
what the difference may be in the WAN port driver.)

My recollection from talking with a Livingston tech is that abort errors are
the more serious of them all, but I don't recall exactly what ComOS
considers an "abort." Anyone care to add to the FAQ exactly what (in
detail) each of these counters count and what the real-world implications are?
