Hi,

We are having trouble connecting to our Livinston 5 BRI using an Adtran
XRT Express ISDN modem from a Linux box.

We can get a Win 95 dialup connection going with the Adtran Express
using the vendor supplied Adtran driver - but when we move the Adtran
over to the Linux box - we can get the modem to dial and start the
handshaking - but the connection drops after a few seconds.

We can connect to the Livingston PM using an asynch 28.8 modem from the
Linux system with no problems.

Anyone have any pointers? Where can I start looking? Do I need a special
chat script? We noticed that the Linux we have "has support" for some
other brands of internal ISDN modems - but no special mention of the
Adtran or other ISDN modem sitting off a COM port.
