Subject: Filter to block TCP port 139...

Greetings & Salutations everyone...

A word of warning: While I'm not to terribly new to networking with NT or
Linux I am very new (today makes day 1) to having to mess around with our
Livingston firewall/router.

My objective: To block traffic coming in through the router on TCP port
139.

My progress so far: I succeded in utterly sealing our network off from the
internet... on all ports... heh heh. Had to reset the router (couldn't get
back into it with PM Console). Fixed all that mess.

My question: What do I need to read / where can I look for info on doing
this properly. I looked at the page on the Livingston website, and found
what I *thought* was the info to do it. But my filter doesn't seem to work.

I was trying this: deny tcp src eq 139

It's probably horribly wrong, I know...

If the answer is RTFM then tell me _what_ FM to read! ;-)

Thanks

Brad
