We recently experienced a crazy jump in our Radius file stats. Our
average "number of calls" has been multiplied 20x. When I check our
individual boxes (pm2E30's, pm3's, and 2 Ascend MAX 4004's) the stats
are way off irrespective of the piece of hardware. The only change we
implimented was upgrading our Ascend boxes' OS. We have 3.5c6 on the
Livingstons and 4.6c26 and 5.0ap5 on the Ascends...and a pre 2.0 version
of Radius. I'm ready to chuck these Ascend boxes (...you can only
handle so many 5.59.c26.59.1b2.etc.etc.etc upgrades that solve
[...r-i-g-h-t] one problem and only introduce 5 more bugs or memoery
leaks) ...they may not be to blame but when something smells funny you
tend to look at the garbage first.
Enough griping...these pm3's have been a non-cabling, non-breaking
down, non-taking-up-5 feet-of-rack-space piece of heaven.
Any help on this stats problem would be highly appreciated.
