correction: what init string for customers should you use...

1) depends on modem.
2) PM3 will not negotiate V.FC, V.Fast, HST and other non-ITU-standards.
3) Some solutions:
a) Newer Rockwell Chipsets, including 56K modems
at+ms=11,1,14400,33600 <-- I don't think the 28.8Kbps
modems use this... so v.34+ command
b) use init string for V.FC, V.Fast, etc to do 14.4Kbps, then have
customer upgrade modem.
c) USR 56K again lock at 33.6Kbps, someone have the AT command for
this? something like w95?
4) Get a list of specific modems having problems with the OS that the user
has...post that here and whoever has gotten it working will reply.
5) Infotel 28.8v.34 which actually had V.FC should be flash upgradeable to
V.34+, 33.6k and this will fix that problem.
6) Another clone modem had to have hardware flow disabled in Win95.

Hopefully, a comprehensive list will be available soon...which, most
likely will be obsoleted when the Lucent DSPs are available....

Best of luck and let us know!
