Not for me. My ol' trusty 2e/30 hooked up to a USR MP/16. Downloading an
Apache log file. Got over 10k cps consistantly. On the PM-3, only 7.5k cps.
Livingston says compression will improve with the newer modem code coming
out.

Now on gzipped files, yes, the fastest I've ever seen is on the PM-3. My
SupraFax showed a 31.2k connection on its read-out, but I got over 3.4 kBps
on a downoad of a gzipped logfile (size of the file/time it took). This is
one reason I shipped the Max back to SoluNet. It could only muster 1.9
kBps. Same PRI, same file, same ftp server, only about 5 people logged into
the Max.
