Yes, this is true. It's based on ComOS 3.1.4. USR's continued use of
code based on Livingston code was the reason Livingston sued USR last
fall.
USR has made extensive revisions to the Livingston code base. In fact,
they've made so many revisions, that their OS now requires 16MB of RAM to
run! The next rev of the code is supposed to require only 8MB to run.
Their Netserver card currently has a 486DX4/100 with 16MB of RAM, and I
think 2MB of flash RAM.
I admire Livingston for only needing a 486/66 with 4MB of RAM to run a
more capable OS.
