We have been running X2 for a while now, and our customers get between
46.666 and 50.333 K connections on average (nothing above 53k). Ftp dl's
are about 53 k/s. We also plan to support k56 (once a vendor has one
running for me to buy). Can't beat the USR tc's, anything in the universe
can connect clean to those babies- I still love my pm's though, and hold
hope for the pm3 in the near future.

So yes, 'it does exist', its not vapor-ware :) k56, will be vapor for no
less than another month (i suspect longer) because the client side modems
are going to be buggy as hell to start with- which might mean 2-3 months
longer for real usage. X2 is here now, but I hate USR, so the call is
yours :) I had to pull my own fingernails out to do it- but you gotta
support what the customers want. Usage of our X2 services is massive, to
say the least, so far.
