I starting thinking about your response and came to one interesting
conclusion. In using MP you are tying two or more ports on the NAS to one
location thereby reducing the total sites you can service by the number of
NAS ports being used for MP ( IE: one site uses two ports would reduce the
total sites you can service to 1/2 the total ports ). The use of an
external multi-modem returns the total number of sites you can support to
the total number of ports on the NAS ( I don't think this would work on the
PM3 since the "ports" are internal to the NAS with no external connnections
for an external modem) but still allows supplying a client with increased
data rates.
