MZ on the PM e-mail forum suggested that we submit our problems with the PM-3's
to RABU, so here is another one. This caller connects via a double call
forward.

We have two PM-3's running ComOS 3.08 w/ MPPP set-up and 50 DSP "modems" in each
and STAC compression in both.

PM-3's live in telco C.O. and link back to our offices via a PPP T-1 and then
out to Frontier/Global's ATM hub in Herndon via PPP T-1. Router at modems is a
Cisco 4000-M and here it is a Cisco 4000.

Quake players have been having problems, and I have asked them to tell us about
them.

So, here is an e-mail from Quake player No. 2 (Lance):
=================================================
well Fred, lemme give this a shot. My modem is 56k Impression modem
manufactured by Askey I believe. It has a rockwell flex chip and i
downloaded the firmware upgrade to v.90 erm. FCC ID number i have no
idea. I have attached a Picture of the modem id program i used to upgrade
my firmware. one of the 2 numbers might be the FCC id #. My problems in
quake is that My ping increased 40-80 on most servers so it feels alot
worse. I seem to get alot of times when the modem stops sending (phone
jack) which is really annoying.. the one technician that sent you the email
about the Com OS described my situation perfectly. Thanks for your concern
and constant effort to fix this fred. :)
