We have setup a cisco 3620 to dial into our PM3 pool.
The c3620 makes address translation for surfing the
web which works without any problem. Now the c3620
also needs to do static address translation so that
people can access servers with a non-public IP addresses
which are connected on the ethernet of the cisco 3620.
I setup a user in the PM3 with the following IP
addresses and a /29 subnet between the PM3 and
the cisco so there are some free IP addresses
for the static address translation. The used IP
addresses are part of an OSPF area but the PM3
to which the cisco connects only advertises a
/32 of "the dest ip address" over OSPF A show sx
of the connected port also shows a /32 subnet?
I have configured a /29 subnet when I setup the
user so why isn't this subnet used between the
PM3 and the cisco?
commands used:
set user agri local-ip-address x.x.x.x
set user agri dest x.x.x.x
set user agri netmask 255.255.255.248
The first problem we had is that the connection only
works in numbered setup. (which means I had to add the
user to the local PM3 user table and not into radius as
radius doesn't support the local-ip-address setting)
Anyone knowing a better solution here?
Thanks,
Christian
