No - SNMP counters are *supposed* to be reset at a reboot. But not while
the system is up. They count from boot onward.

Yep. I do not think the counters should be resetable, and am not likely
to be swayed.
A second set of counters would be fine - but I don't want to see them waste
their time on something so minor when there are other issues to deal with.
