I agree that *an implementation* of a "second counter" is to store a
value to be subtracted from *the* counter for display. (As in
PMVision.)

Outwardly, it's a second counter...I'm not about to design Lucent's
code for them, only talk about external behavior.

It will get pushed up the RFE tree faster if there are enough
requests for it to make it appear more important than something else.

Comments here are not requests.
