I have one Bell Atlantic PRI that averages just over 20 CRCs per hour
and has for many months. It's call-circuit-closed rate varies from
about 1.5x to 2x the rates of my other PRIs, but otherwise there
doesn't seem to be much ill effect ... ISDN isn't noticeably affected,
and other forms of disconnects are no higher.

Since this is the PRI I call from home I have a very personal feel for
the level of disconnect pain. So far I've judged it less than the
pain of taking the line out of service long enough to have it tested
and fixed.

A good part of that judgement is that this PRI is on a single-PRI
special-use access number, and taking it down for testing would take
that entire service out for awhile. If this were one PRI in a bank of
PRIs on some number, I'd definitely have it get some attention from
the telco.
