(PM) PM Management Program

We have developed a program that checks for duplicate users and deletes
users logged on more than once.

It works using a modified PMCOM and it is written entirely in C.

The program telnets into the portmaster checks the users connected and
reset the port of the user logged on more than once.

We also added other features such we have an adjustable threshold of
users before the program does anything. For example, the user logged on
twice will not be disconnected if we have a lot of free ports. Usually
we have the program kick in when there are only 2 free ports left.

In addition, we have added a feature that also has an adjustable idle
time before kicking users off. I know we can use the portmaster's
idletime setting, but our program can use an adjustable idletime that
only kicks in when we have a small number of empty ports. This way we
can keep the portmaster idletime at say 1.5 to 2 hours and then our
adjustable idletime at say maybe 25 minutes.

We also have several other options such as lists of users that our
exempt from any disconnects by the program and lists of users that
always get disconnected when the program kicks in. This second feature
comes in handy for users that stay logged on 24hrs with keepalive and
automatic redialing. If you get too busy and they keep getting
disconnect well they might cancel and who cares, right?

There is also another file with a list of users who are allowed to login
more than once. These users are usually people who buy accounts that
allow them to login more than once.

We have successfully used this program for more than a year.

The only drawback at this time is the password has to be compiled in.
If we resell it we have to use either some type of command line password
option, a password in a file option, or an encrypted password in a file
option.

We are asking the list to let us know if there is any interest in this
program so we can prepare it for sale to the public. Also we would like
to know what kind of password option would be best.

Best Regard,
Mario Araujo
