NO! There's no reason to spend $40K or $50K on a Cisco 7200 series
router. Prior to selling the ISP I was VP of Operations for, we used
routers from ImageStream (http://www.imagestream-is.com/) and SDL
Communications WAN cards (http://www.sdlcomm.com/) exclusively on our
network. They were Linux-based, solid state routers, outperformed every
piece of Cisco equipment our Cisco vendor brought in for us and was MUCH
less expensive.

We had over 100 nodes on the network with NO Cisco gear. Every site
either used Livingston/Lucent routers and routers from ImageStream and
SDL.
